Technical Recruiter

Redwire Space is looking for a Technical Recruiter with five (5) or more years of experience recruiting for technical positions within the Aerospace industry.

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Technical Recruiter to join our Corporate Human Resources department and help us grow our Talent Management Team.

Technical Recruiter responsibilities include sourcing, screening, and providing a shortlist of qualified candidates for various technical roles. You will also network online and offline with potential candidates to promote our employer brand, reduce our time-to-hire, and ensure we attract the best professionals. You will also assist in college recruiting and help support our internship program.

Ultimately, you will build a strong tech talent pipeline and help hire and retain skilled employees for our engineering and management positions.


  • Coordinate with management to forecast department goals and hiring needs

  • Partner with business leaders and hiring managers to assess their talent requirements and advise on the best hiring strategy

  • Write and post technical job descriptions

  • Write job offer letters

  • Conduct job and task analyses to document job duties and requirements

  • Use a variety of techniques to discover and attract the best passive talent

  • Parse specialized skills and qualifications to screen resumes

  • Conduct thorough behavioral-based interviews and phone screenings to assess both technical baselines as well as skills be successful in our company's environment

  • Perform pre-screening calls to analyze applicants' abilities

  • Interview candidates combining various methods (e.g. structured interviews, technical assessments, and behavioral questions)

  • Craft and send personalized recruiting emails with current job openings to passive candidates

  • Effectively utilize the time and resources at your disposal. Leveraging data on a regular basis to ensure business partners stay informed

  • Participate in tech conferences and meetups to network with technical professionals

  • Onboard new hires

  • Promote the company's reputation as a great place to work

  • Keep up-to-date with new technological trends and products


  • Five (5) or more years of proven work experience as a Technical Recruiter recruiting for a variety of aerospace or space engineering, administrative, and management level positions

  • A track record of excellence in sourcing and assessing highly qualified technical talent

  • A focus on providing a great candidate experience at every opportunity

  • Hands-on experience with various interview formats

  • Technical expertise with an ability to understand and explain job requirements for engineering and technology roles

  • A proven relationship-management experience with hiring teams and business partners, helping them navigate the sources of talent and assisting them with assessment

  • Familiarity with Applicant Tracking Systems and resume databases

  • Solid knowledge of sourcing techniques (e.g. social media recruiting and Boolean searches)

  • A genuine interest in technology as shown by continuous learning throughout your career

  • Skills in offer negotiation 

  • Awareness of pertinent employment legislation, employment laws, and employment market trends

  • Strong computer skills; preferably with MS Office products and Talent Acquisition/ Applicant Tracking systems

  • Strong attention to detail and excellent time management skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Travel Required- Up to an average of 10-15% of your time will likely be spent traveling. Most of the travel is local, but some overnight travel may be required.
